Tips, XP and Controls
Published · Updated
Firefighting Sim rewards clean mission work more than reckless speed. Every emergency call has its own objectives, and the game uses a report to score your performance. That score feeds rank XP, so improving your routine at the scene is also the most reliable way to progress.
XP tips that follow from the mission loop
- Choose calls you can complete. Simpler incidents are faster and can be easier to score highly, while complex incidents generally provide more XP but require more equipment and risk management.
- Read the call before choosing a vehicle. A fire engine is useful for intense fires, while a faster response vehicle may be enough for non-fire emergencies.
- Treat Daily Challenges as bonus progression. Official material lists Daily Challenges, and community guidance says they provide additional XP and can unlock special vehicles on qualifying days.
- Finish objectives before exploring. Locate victims, extinguish active fire, and complete the call before taking on optional detours.
- Watch your vitals. Heat and smoke are hazards. Back out, cool the fire, and use protective equipment instead of pushing through a dangerous room.
No source reviewed here publishes a universal XP table or a guaranteed XP-per-minute method. Titles that promise fast XP are useful clues, but exact rates require in-game measurement.
Scene-management tips
- Put outside fire down first when it blocks access. Community guidance recommends dealing with flames before moving into a smoky interior.
- Use a fire engine hose for large fires. A regular hose is less powerful, and conserving water matters during longer calls.
- Equip a gas mask for smoke. This helps you search for trapped victims and manage smoke exposure.
- Keep track of locked doors. The official listing identifies axes and chainsaws as forcing-entry tools.
- Use ladders when access is blocked or elevated. The official description confirms deployable ladders.

Rank progression
You begin as a Recruit and progress toward Fire Chief by completing emergency calls. Completed calls award rank XP, and promotions unlock better gear. Daily Challenges and leaderboard activities provide additional progression systems, and official material also lists badges.
The current public sources do not publish every intermediate rank or the exact XP threshold for each promotion, so those values are intentionally omitted here.
